Donate $5.00 to Prison Voices By PayPal

I started Prison Voices in October of 2009, with the intent that I would devote all of my own time and resources to it. I don't have very much money of my own, but all of it goes toward supplies needed to run the service. Lately, I've also had to ask my family for money as well, to keep things going. I spend an average of $40 a month to do what needs to be done, and it seems to me if just 10% of the people who believe in Prison Voices donated $5, I would be able to run the service without having to ask my family for money.

Here's a breakdown of where that $40 a month goes:

1. $9.95 - Monthly webhosting cost to HostGator.com (PS: I'm not looking to switch to another webhost)
2. $19.95 - Toner Cartridge from NewEgg.com for my Brother DCP-1000 Laserjet Printer I bought at a second-hand store for $12 that miraculously worked.
3. $5.00 - Two boxes of envelopes from Walmart
4. $6.50 - 750-sheet ream of printer paper from Walmart
5. $8.80 - Book of (20) stamps. I actually use a lot more than this per month.

Right now I'm working with a couple people to help me create profiles for inmates, and I would like to be able to share the donations with them so they don't have to pay from their own pockets to help out with the site.

I ask of you to please consider making a $5.00 donation to help keep this service running (it WILL stay running even if I continue to pay for it myself).

You could also
just drop a five dollar bill in an envelope and mail it in. The U.S. Post Office never recommends it, but a few people have done it already. :) You can mail it to the address you see to the right ---->

Can't Donate $5?

A large portion of donations made to Prison Voices is used for buying stamps. This is an integral part of this service, because these tiny little squares help get the message out to thousands of inmates. I only recently learned that many people out there have extra stamps laying around, that sometimes actually get thrown away! (That breaks my heart.) If you happen to be one of those people that have extra stamps laying around, or ANY denomination (old stamps work great too!), please consider mailing them to the address below:
