Hello. Thanks for visiting me. I hope this leads into hearing from you—simply because the dialogue in prison is found wanting. Tell me what drives you, what you are passionate about, what excites you, maybe what books you like to read or the music that inspires you. Tell me what you plan on doing to change the world in your own little (or big) way. In a largely dreamless environment, I miss learning about ones’ goals and aspirations. But more than that, I’d enjoy hearing about the remarkable and beautiful things that you are currently involved with (even simple things done remarkably well).
To relate a little about myself I’m a happy amalgamation of capitalism, altruism, Marxism (Groucho, that is, not Karl), idealism, and hedonism. Although incarcerated, my days are full. It’s always challenging to divide my time between college course work, daily workouts, nonprofit activity, eclectic music, purposeful readings, and perhaps a game or two of Scrabble. The majority of my time is spent forwarding the mission of the Prison Scholar Fund, a nonprofit organization founded that empowers incarcerated students to realize their post-secondary educational aspirations.
Regarding my academic achievements, this spring I received my bachelor’s degree from Penn State with honors, and am currently pursuing a post-baccalaureate accounting certificate at L.S.U. Further, with a release from prison in the not-too-distant future, I’m preparing for a post-release MBA program. You can review my CV (posted in the Drawings section) to see what else I’ve been up to.
Drop me a note. I would welcome your letter sent to me directly at:
